Steve and Ann Mann were exceptional parent leaders within the Bedford Blizzard Volleyball Club. All three of their daughters played for the Blizz, creating memories that will truly last a lifetime. Steve and Ann were inspirational leaders, known for their trademark spirit of fun, generosity, and commitment to giving back to the community.

Stephen K. Mann (Steve Mann) was a long-time Canadian Tire Dealer who owned and operated the Spryfield and Bedford locations in Nova Scotia for more than 21 years. Beyond store management, Steve was deeply involved in the Canadian Tire Corporation, serving on multiple committees and actively supporting Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities. His leadership, integrity, and community-minded values left a lasting impact.

The Stephen K. Mann Memorial Award, presented by the Bedford Blizzard Volleyball Club, honors a returning player who exemplifies dedication, sportsmanship, leadership, and commitment—values that Stephen Mann embodied throughout his life. The award often recognizes an athlete who demonstrates strong performance, positive influence, and meaningful contribution to the club and community.

How to apply for this season’s award

This award will cover the successful applicants full club fee for the 2026 season. The details of the criteria are outlined on the attached application form.
