It is with great humility that I step into the Club Director role after Al Scott’s 21 years at the helm.

Al’s leadership and tenacity has driven the club’s culture, success and recognition as one of the most well-respected volleyball club programs in Canada; Built on growing the sport of volleyball in Nova Scotia, Al’s passion will continue to be reflected in the dedication and effort of the Bedford Blizzard Volleyball Club. We thank him immensely for his service to the volleyball community.

Having grown up in sport, I know the power and impact that it has on our athletes’, coach’s and supporters’ lives. It is an honour to represent The Bedford Blizzard Volleyball Club, and I look forward to supporting programs, recruitment, and development that inspires our club to success on and off the court.

Our efforts remain unchanged. We will strive to:

• Grow the passion and skill of volleyball in Nova Scotia and beyond.
• Being resolute in attracting and retaining excellent coaches who are committed to developing athletes.
• Create safe and inclusive environments and opportunities that allows our athletes, and coaches to grow and learn.
• Acknowledge that having fun and winning are not mutually exclusive. We aim to not only be the best club on the court but in the stands and off the court.
• Deliver and support high level and well-run VNS and open tournaments.

The club is excited to build on a 2026 competitive season that saw all programs competing at Tier 1 VNS Championship and bringing home 4 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze tier 1 medals with special recognition for our 18UG Navy team finishing an amazing 10^th overall in Canada at Volleyball Canada Nationals. We are exceptionally proud of all of our teams.
