Tournaments!
Super Series Hosting
We will host 16U Girls on January 31 and 14U Girls on February 7. And it is looking good that we will be selected for other Super Series tournaments but too early for VNS to guarantee. So critical for coaches and parents of those teams to get rolling for the extensive planning for hosting required.
Open Tournament Hosting
We plan to host 12 invitational tournaments and also hope to host 4 super series tournaments. Our coaches have been informed of dates, gyms. In our club it is expected that all parents will contribute to the hosting requirements when their child’s team is a host.
Ways to help:
- Gym and facility set up and restoration,
- Contributing to and working at the canteen which can be a fundraiser,
- Scorekeeping,
- Admissions table,
- Posting results,
- Being one of two required parent compliance individuals (ensure spectators and everyone is compliant with the facility rules),
- Helping/leading team fundraising ventures, ask our coaches how you can help with anything.
Scorekeeping
In club volleyball it is expected that parents will complete the on-court scorekeeping. And generally we would like as many parents as is possible to learn how to do this. Your head coaches will be mapping out a plan very shortly for scorekeeping training for parents on your team. If you haven’t done this before, it can be quire enjoyable and you get the “best seats in the house”. Particularly important when we host Super Series as we generally provide scorekeepers for all matches in the tournament.
